Students will select a media to focus on each month including oil paint, digital painting, acrylic & watercolor painting, Prismacolor colored pencil, and print-making. Specific curriculum is student driven in a cooperative format with the instructor. Individual themes and media improvement plans are in place for artists to elevate their current skills and product.

Students will create various compositions with Prismacolor colored pencils, acrylic paint on canvas, and graphite pencils. Themes will include nature, architecture, portraits, realism & surrealism. Students are presented with thematic options and encouraged to develop skills in class and at home between classes as time allows.

Sculpture for Kids gives participants the opportunity to create three dimensional art using a variety of materials. We will use plaster, found objects, clay, wood, paper, cardboard, wire and more! Artists will experiment with concepts of form and balance while creating both functional and decorative pieces. Subject matter will be adjusted to the artist’s individual interests- No previous experience or skills needed for this class. Everyone will work at their individual level and grow from there! All materials included.
